Morning:

6:00 AM: Depart from Mombasa. Enjoy a scenic drive to Tsavo East National Park (approximately 2-3 hours)
8:30 AM: Arrive at Tsavo East National Park and go through park entry formalities.

Mid-Morning:

9:00 AM: Start the first game drive in Tsavo East. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species. Hunt for the famous “red elephants” that are a hallmark of Tsavo.

Lunch:

12:30 PM: Stop for lunch at a lodge or picnic site within the park.

Afternoon:

2:00 PM: Resume the game drive. Explore different areas of the park and continue to spot diverse wildlife. Visit the Aruba Dam, an excellent spot for observing animals coming to drink.

Evening:

5:30 PM: Head to your accommodation, such as a lodge or tented camp located near or in the park.
7:00 PM: Dinner at the lodge/camp and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Early Morning:

6:00 AM: Early breakfast at the lodge.
7:00 AM: Morning game drive to see animals in their most active state. It’s also a great time for bird watching.

Mid-Morning:

9:30 AM: Return to the lodge for a late morning tea/coffee and check out.
10:30 AM: Last chance for a short game drive or explore the park before departing.

Lunch:

12:00 PM: Begin your drive back to Mombasa, stopping for lunch en route at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:

3:00 PM: Arrive back in Mombasa. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or a visit to the beach.

What to Pack: Lightweight clothing, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera, and insect repellent.
Best Time to Visit: Tsavo East is accessible year-round, but the dry season (June to October) is ideal for wildlife viewing.
